Checkers or Draughts variants and rules: online multiplayer and offline mode
There are many ways to play Checkers (Draughts). Everyone has various habits and usually prefers to play exactly the same way as used to play Checkers in the past, that is why decide on your favorite rules of this game
American Checkers 
or English Draughts 
Capturing is mandatory, but the pieces cannot capture backward. The king can only move one square and can move and capture backward.
International Draughts
Capturing is mandatory and all the pieces can capture backward. The queen (king) has long moves which means that, if the square is not blocked, the queen can move any distance diagonally.
Spanish Checkers: Damas
Known as Spanish Draughts, based on the international rules, but the pieces cannot capture backward.
Turkish Checkers: Dama
Named also Turkish Draughts. Dark as well as light squares of the checkerboard are used. Pieces start on the second and third rows of a game board, they do not move diagonally but forward and sideways. The way that the kings (queens) move is similar to the chess queens.

Turkish Draughts (also known as Dama or Damasi) is a variant of checkers played in Turkey. The board game does not need special representation, as well as, for example, the backgammon, chess or cards game. Checkers is a challenging board game that can train your logic and strategic skills. The game rules
- On an 8×8 board, 16 men are lined up on each side, in two rows, skipping the back row.
- Men can move forward or sideways one square, capturing by means of a jump, but they cannot move backwards. When a man reaches the back row, it is promoted to a king at the end of the move. Kings may move any number of squares forwards, backwards or sideways, capturing by jumping over any piece and landing on any square within permissible path beyond the captured piece.
- Pieces are removed immediately after being jumped. If a jump is possible, it must be done. If several ways of jumping are possible, the one that captures the most pieces must be chosen. No difference between king and man is made during capture; each counts as one piece. If there is more than one way to capture the maximally possible number of pieces, the player may choose which to take.
- The game ends when a player has no legal move, either because all his pieces are captured or he is completely blocked. The opponent wins the game.
- Unlike other draughts variants, since enemy pieces are removed immediately after being jumped, as pieces are captured and removed from the board, it is possible to cross the same square more than once in the same capturing sequence.
- Within a multi-capture, turning 180 degrees between two captures is not allowed.

– If in a position in which both opponents have kings, the balance of forces has not changed (i.e., there was no capture, and not a single checker became a king) during: in 4 and 5 piece endings – 30 moves, in 6 and 7 piece endings – 60 moves
– If a player, having three checkers at the end of the game (three kings, two kings and a checker, a king and two checkers, three simple checkers) against one opponent’s king located on the “high road”, cannot take the opponent’s king with his 5th move
– If during 15 moves the players made moves only with kings, without moving simple checkers and without taking
– If the same position is repeated three (or more) times (the same arrangement of checkers), and the turn of the move each time will be behind the same side.
International checkers 10×10
Move and capture rules
– White starts the game
– Checkers move only on dark squares
– It is required to hit a checker if there is a possibility
– It is allowed to hit a checker both forward and backward
– The king moves and hits on any square of the diagonal
– When capturing a checker, the rule of the Turkish strike is applied (in one move, an opponent’s checker can be beaten only once)
– The majority rule works (if there are several options for a capture, taking the largest number of checkers is required)
– If a simple checker in the process of capturing reaches the edge of the opponent’s field and can hit further, then it continues the move and remains an ordinary checker (without turning into a king)
– If a simple checker reaches the edge of the opponent’s field by a move (or in the process of capturing), it turns into a king and stops, according to the rules of a king, it will be able to play on the next move
