Security: Messages are encrypted using the MTProto protocol. “Secret Chats” offer extra protection with end-to-end encryption and a self-destruct option, but these are only available on the device where they start.

Groups and Channels: Users can create groups with up to 200,000 members or channels to share messages with unlimited subscribers.

File Sharing: Send files up to 2 GB (or 4 GB with a premium subscription). All data is stored in the cloud for easy access across devices.

Customization: Choose light or dark themes and adjust colors. Stickers and animated emojis are available, with more options in premium mode.Messages sync across all your devices without needing your phone connected.

Public groups and channels can be seen by anyone, while private chats stay secure.

A premium version, started in 2022, adds features like bigger file uploads, faster downloads, and ad removal.
